Cooking techniques

Slow cooking is the star here, allowing all the flavors to meld beautifully over time. If you're short on time, you can adapt the recipe for the stovetop, just simmer everything until tender!

Variations or substitutions

Feel free to swap in your favorite beans or vegetables based on what you have on hand. Any leftover meats can make a delightful addition!

Storage tips

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the soup for up to 3 months—just thaw and reheat when you're ready to enjoy it again!

Notes

For a stovetop version, follow the same steps but cook in a pot over medium heat, making sure to stir occasionally.
