Welcome to the delightful world of Rocky Road! This classic treat combines gooey marshmallows, rich chocolate, and optional crunchy walnuts for a sweet indulgence that everyone will love.

Tips for Success

Make sure to cut your marshmallows with wet scissors to avoid sticking; it makes the process so much easier!

Favorite Parts

Drizzling the melted chocolate over the marshmallows is so satisfying. Trust me, you’ll love watching it all come together!

Ingredients

  • Marshmallows:
  • Chocolate:
  • Butter:
  • Flavoring:
  • Nuts:

Instructions

  • Prep the Pan:
  • Step 1
    - Grease the baking pan: Grease a 8x8'' baking pan with non-stick cooking spray or butter (or use 4 mini disposable loaf pans, for gifting).
  • Prepare Marshmallows:
  • Step 2
    - Cut the marshmallows: Cut marshmallows (we use scissors, dipping them in water after each cut, to keep the marshmallow from sticking). Add cut marshmallows to the pan.
  • Melt the Chocolate:
  • Step 3
    - Melt chocolate and butter: In a saucepan over low heat (or a double boiler) add chocolate and butter. Stir constantly until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and walnuts, if using.
  • Combine Ingredients:
  • Step 4
    - Drizzle melted chocolate: Slowly drizzle melted chocolate over marshmallows, gently nudging between the marshmallows as you go, so that the chocolate seeps into all of the cracks.
  • Set the Rocky Road:
  • Step 5
    - Refrigerate: Refrigerate until set. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 weeks.
